Subjects include the Army Specialized Training Program, California Professional Survey for the War Manpower Commission, Food Research Institute project on food in Germany, tropical disease survey in Guatemala, foreign relief and rehabilitation research, and the development of Stanford scientific research facilities, particularly the Ryan High Voltage Laboratory. In 1935, Paul and Jean Hanna commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to design their home to be built on the Stanford University campus. Construction, begun in 1937, continued in four stages over 25 years.
